GE TBX-2 Navy Dept. Bureau of ships transceiver info wanted...

Hello, I have had this transceiver sitting in my home for a while now.
I don't have a power supply, but would like info on locating one or
building one that would work.
General Electric model TBX-2 s/n 1210
RCV 2000 to 8800 KCs XMT 2000 to 4525 Kcs.
Any info on powering this old guy up would be appreciated very much!
Thanks, Steve KA0OJS

IIRC that old manpack was powered by a hand cranked generator (maybe there was also a gas-powered one). Don't recall if it was DC (most likely) or 400Hz 28VDC.

Maybe a check at rec.radio.amateur.boatanchors is in order too.

Good luck!
