America Mobile set-ups and the law
In this months QST there is another fine example of an American radio
amateur's mobile set-up (page 71, N6TEB's vehicle). It is the sort of thing many amateurs probably dream about. However, in the UK, it would probably break a dozen "construction and use" laws, nothing to do with radio but related to vehicle safety. Are there no such laws in the USA? I'm visit the USA in the summer and hope to see some of these vehicles in the flesh (so to speak!). -- 73 Brian, G8OSN www.g8osn.org.uk |

Are there no such laws in the USA? no such laws I am aware of Construction and Use laws? Not sure what that is exactly in terms of American usage. But, no, there are no laws preventing mobile operation, so "mobile" away! 73 Jerry |
