Rewinding a rheostat to make it a variable iunductor
I came up with this idea to make a tiny antenna tuner. Thought maybe I
could remove the wire on a rheostat and rewind it with copper wire so I can make a long wire antenna tuner . Dennis W6EH |

Hmmm...not a bad idea. I have no use for a Miracle Whip antenna, but
I think I'll try that approach as another alternative to Phil Salas, AD5X's portable vertical base matching techniques. It might even be feasible for the tuneable component of a center loading coil. I'm gonna do some experimentin'! 73, On 17 Sep 2006 04:58:06 -0700, wrote: I came up with this idea to make a tiny antenna tuner.
