Are you talking about the dual-gate MOSFET used in some Yaesu
equipment?

I think the GR suffix in that case has to do with selection for low
noise and low intermod.

For FETs it means the Idss value,
Y (yellow) = 3-7mA,
GR (green) = 6-14mA
