AY11 or AEY12 tunnel diodes
 

They used to be "common as muck", and I bought loads of them from Henrys
Radio, (202 Edgeware st, London). But that was more than a couple of years
ago, since then I have moved house several times, moved country, had a
divorce and had all my belongings stolen.

Does anyone have any AEY11 or AEY12 tunnel diodes left? I cant seem to find
a supplier anymore.

Many of these devices are about 30 years old, and a friend in the
semiconductor industry speculated that, in that time, their extreme
doping gradients may have relaxed by diffusion. So even if you could
find some "new old stock", their characteristics may have changed
significantly.
