It seems almost criminal that GNURadio / USRP isn't mentioned. :-( It's the
main ham radio SDR that's being used for VHF/UHF work with correspondingly
higher bandwidths. (Whereas HPSDR/Flex-5000/etc. are aimed more at super-weak
signals -- more dynamic range -- with correspondingly narrower bandwidths.)
