Hellenedyne: a new type of regen-reflex radio

hi everyone:

i designed a new type of regen-reflex radio called the Hellenedyne. it
uses a single triode in cathode follower mode at RF and in grounded
grid mode at AF. the tube i selected needs only 18 volts of plate. it
can be used with low-impedance earbuds for good sound. output is high
compared to an Armstrong regenerator. if you love single tube designs
you must try this one! explaination and circuit are available at my
website:

regards,
phil :)

PS if you wish to contact me feel free to send an e-mail

Hey Dr. Phil

That's interesting, you state somewhere in that linked article that
over 70vdc is dangerous. I use throw away 35mm camera photo flash
units that run off of a AA cell and drop the voltage down to 75vdc. I
like to use the really old 1 and 3 volt directly heated cathode tubes,
like the 3v4 and 1u4 or the 1u5 has a diode in it.

My supply only requires 1 battery.

Thanks for the great article. And the great old technology.

hi n8zu!

you're very welcome. sorry for the late response: i'm not on usenet
much. wow your supply idea is great. btw, i posted a more reproducible
version of the Hellenedyne and some related PDFs:
