I am trying to remember the name of a radio book that was stolen from
me years ago. It was a simple entry level book that had construction
projects. It featured a series of valve transmitter each a little more
complex and powerful than the next. A 1 valve 2 valve and a 3 valve tx
that would put out 75 watts and used an 829B in the final in a push-
pull configuration. It wasnt a large book and I remember the cover was
black. Also stolen was a science project book that showed how to build
cloud chambers, your own x- ray machine and a particle accelerator. I
built the xray machiine and most of a siesmograph. I had put the
siesmograph project on hold because I couldnt find some of the key
parts.

I remember a book from my youth which sounds like the one you may be
thinking of , it was called something like "The Scientific American Book of
Projects and Experiments"
