Looking for a CA3458T opamp or equiv...

Fixing an HP power supply, need one, would like to purchase 2 or 3.

The MC1558, LM1558 and uA1558 are subs for the CA3458. The T suffix
probably indicates that it's in a metal TO5 can. If so, you might have to
get a type 1458 chip in a metal case. Unicorn Electronics
(http://www.unicornelectronics.com/IC/LINEAR.html) has the LM1458H in a
metal can. Same chip, just commercial temperature range rather than the
Industrial temp range.

But then it's a fairly standard dual op-amp. I can never remember the RCA
prefixes, I was thinking he was looking for a CMOS era op-amp.

Given it is then a fairly generic op-amp, ie no high speed characteristics
or specially high input impedance, most generic op-amps would work.
