Memory Keyer plans?

Is there, out there (preferably on the Net) any place I can acquire
plans/ schematic for a memory CW keyer to operate with a Radio Shack
HTX-100 xcvr as a 10-meter beacon?
Also, has anyone any experience with the MFJ-459 memory keyer,
especially in beacon operations?

You should look at the WE4S web site (10 meter beacon):
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/commun...upid=24395&ck=

Here is the K1EL K-ID Beacon / Identifier Chip (data sheet on web page)
http://k1el.tripod.com/kid.html

Other 10-meter beacons

N2UHC beacon

NorCal keyer used for N2UHC message - $ 15

In the mean time, the beacon is running with my old AEA memory keyer from
sometime in the mid-1980's as the dedicated controller. The transmitter in
play at the moment is an old Radio Shack HTX-100 10 Meter mobile radio, with
the output power level set at one watt and a small fan added to the final
amplifier heatsink for cooling.

Hiya and sorry to be a bit late to respond. I offer a keyer that will
work great for your application; in fact, there is at least one 10M
beacon that I know of using it (WJ5O). Two messages, message chaining,
beacon mode with delay from 0 to 99 seconds, nonvolatile memory, all the
good stuff. http://www.hamgadgets.com.

Isn't the HTX-100 a SSB rig? (Or am I thinking HTX10?).

N5IB had plans for a circuit to get CW out of one of these. I build one
according to his plans and it worked. Later I built one using a PIC which I
liked better, but I never really documented it well.

You are. The HTX-100 is SSB/AM/CW. I have a new HTX-10 in the box in
the garage, if you want one. 8-) Just don't have any need for it, not
sure why I bought the thing -- but who could pass it up for under
seventy bucks?

It's on my looooong list of projects to do one of these days... sigh...

Yeah -- getting the PIC version on my website is on my looooong list of
projects to do one of these days...
