Ted,
There are many manufacturers of compatible connectors and many different
configurations. In general, they are referred to in the vernacular as .1"
single-row headers, or .1" single row header sockets, or something similar.
If you open a Digi-Key or Mouser catalog, you'll find many choices.

In order to recommend the right one for you , it's importamt to understand
your application. Will the DDS board be PCB mounted or connected to a cable
harness? If PCB mounted, do you want the DDS board to lay flat on the
application PCB or at right angles to the board?

When you look at the catalogs you'll get a much better idea of the choices.

For testing purposes, I have the DDS Daughtercard in a DIP socket that has
wire-wrip legs. The socket fits snugly into the proto board and makes it
easy to check out your newly built card.
