Elecraft

Cost of K2. Anyone know the cost of the K2. Elecrafts web page is
confusing with two different prices listed.

Only two? I thought you could pick anything between about 600 and 2000
depending on whether you wanted leather seats, the high end stereo, etc.

The base rig on the order page is 599, I assume that's authoritative. Looks
like you're in for a grand for a reasonably decked-out, QRP CW rig.
Expensive compared to your typical rice box, but cheap compared to anything
with a similar receiver.

I only find one price: $599.00

That's for the bare-bones K2 (CW only, 80/40/30/20/17/12/15/10 meters,
15 watts max) with no options, and less shipping and tax (if
applicable).

Options include (this may not be a complete list - they keep adding
goodies!)

- Noise blanker
- SSB adapter
- 160 meters/2nd rx antenna
- QRP ATU
- Analog audio filter/real time clock
- DSP audio filter/real time clock
- Internal battery
- Serial link
- 100 watt internal power amp/serial link
- 100 watt ATU (mounts externally)
- External band interface box

And lots more.

What prices do you see?

The basic K2 costs $599

The add-on 100W amplifier costs $359

The K2/100 (100 W version) costs $958 ($599 + $359)
