"Carl & Jerry" series from Popular Electronics

Has this series of articles ever been reprinted? If so, under what
title and form?

Thanks,
Allen

Do a Google search on "popular electronics carl jerry" and you will find what
is available on the internet. I read the orginal episode, which told how the
two became a team, never read that one before.

And I'm starting to work on this again, so more should become
available soon.

That's great, I will be looking forward to seeing more. I don't know which I
looked forward to more as a kid, Carl and Jerry or Superman.

I'm with you Gary- still watching Superman on TVLand, and now getting to

Radio Constructor, a UK publication that folded some years ago, used to have
a column entitled "In Your Workshop", IIRC, featuring the adventures of
Smithy, a TV/radio repairman and his assistant, Dick Their exploits weren't
as exciting as Carl and Jerry's, but quite amusing.

When I try news:alt.binaries.pictures.radios I get a message that
says no such newsgroup.

Suggestion?

It appears that your provider doesn't carry that group. A lot of
providers don't carry binaries groups because they tend to be _big_,
have high traffic levels, and get used to move porn of various sorts.

You _could_ write a letter or send E-mail to the appropriate folks at
your provider, asking them to carry the group -- and that might work.

You could pay to subscribe to, say, supernews, or to another news
provider that carries the groups you want.
