Looking to house an RX2 Weather Satellite receiver in a suitable case.
Maplins dont have anything appropriate .. any suggestions please for UK
suppliers?

Don't know how large this rx is ,but generally 'lunch box variety ' type of
(usually transparent) plastic enclosures with a good seal ,available in most
DIY stores ,are weather proof. Suggest you have a look at B&Q , Home Base ,
Focus , Wickes ,etc.
However in order for these enclosures not to suffer from the sun's UV
radiation causing the plastic to become brittle ,it is important to paint
the outside ,incl the lid , Black (Hammerite Spray will do fine) ,not
leaving any exposed area of plastic unpainted.
Recently I replaced such a box ,which had been accommodating an outdoor LF
antenna amplifier ,after more than 9 years of good service .

Just goes to show ... I had searched RS and others before based on 'project
box'. Searching again under 'enclosure' did the trick. RS have more styles
and sizes than you could shake a stick at ... so problem solved. Thanks for
the responses.
