QSL.net problems?

Tried for 4th time to download a 676k file from
http://www.qsl.net/dl5swb/minirk_e.htm
but had to resign, the connection timed out, so ADSL didn't help much
when speed varied between 200-861bits/s

Any clues?

I just downloaded the smaller .zip file OK, but it was very slow. I can
email it if you like.

Well, I did a little better than you at 1.5 Kbits/sec but it still took
almost 7 minutes to download the whole thing.

Don't expect any answers from qsl.net. I tried to sign up for web space
several times and sent them email requesting help, but never received
any response. I finally went somewhere else for my web space.

If you like, since I was able to download the files, I could email them
to you. All the files together would be a little over 1 MByte.

Maybe my article recommending the program has caused a log-jam!

Qsl.net can often be more like "qsb.net", so try again later.

thanks,
but I eventually got the first file, but the 2nd faded out, and the
remaining "9 seconds " have lasted few minutes now, but it is a small
hope, will call you if I don't succeed

QSL.net has bandwidth problems. Gossip is their pipes are far too small
and their user load way to high. Perhaps they should have a donation
screen for more BW......

isn't it somewhat amateur based? Should perhaps return to AX25 1200
baud packet system as an alternative...... Suppose our friend W0RLI
would endorse it.
