FT-8000R

Looking for a schematic and parts placement diagram for the control head.
The 440 volume & squelch pots have broken the traces on the main board
at the connector. Can anyone help?? Please respond direct.
Thanks,
Jim, WA1GPO

I fixed mine even after i pulled some traces off.
There are 3 gnds and 3 other connections from what i remember.
Should be able to just look at it and see where it goes.

If you call Yaesu they will fax you the page you need.

It's a well-known problem. The slotted rings that hold
the controls to the front of the radio loosen up over
time and pushing on the knobs flexes the pots until they
break loose.

I believe later production has a glop of hot-melt
glue on each pot to mechanically stabilize it with
the PCB.

I don't have a schematic but I can't help but think
the control head is toast based on my experience with
one FT-8100R.
