I heard this is possible.Is that true?

Perhaps he is referring to the ferrite doughnuts - toroids -
that are used in tuned circuits to restrain the magnetic field
to the environs of the toroid?

Winding toriod coils around a doughnut is about on par
with what one Heathkit builder did when he ran out
of insulating spaggati tubing....he used macroni!
(TRUE STORY as told by some Heathkit repair center employees)

No, the same guy has posted to all kinds of newsgroups, and they
are indeed nonsense posts, albeit with a slight slant towards
the newsgroup. But the giveaway, apart from recognizing the name
after a few times, is that they are all posted to the newsgroup and
can.sun-stroke

People are saying he is trying to score points, and the "points" accumulate
when people reply to the message, and it lands in can.sun-stroke Note
that I took that other newsgroup out, so he will never see it over there.
