I-Q vfo

Hi, all concerned:

Does anyone have an I-Q vfo (google it IYDKWTI), kit or built, for sale?

TIA & 73, Dave, N3HE

Sorry I don't have one for sale but I seem to remember that a I-Q vfo
was in the Amateur Radios Handbook several years ago. It may even be
in the newer editions. The projects in the Handbook are virtually kits.
There is usually a source of parts listed and many time you can get
the entire thing in a kit. Some of the parts may not be available
any more, but substitutes shouldn't be that hard to find.

I don't remember the year of the Handbook, but someone else may have
that.

Sorry we ran out of them at AmQRP. The sales were brisk while they lasted.
We (George Heron and I) are currently discussing the possibility of another production run.
Let George (AmQRP) know if you are interested.

If anyone is wondering what we are talking about, you can see info and join the discussion in my
YAHOO group - DDS-VFO. I am the moderator and "doorkeeper" just to keep out spam.

Very briefly, it's a 0-30 MHz VFO that I designed. It uses a couple of PIC microcontrollers to run
an AD9854 DDS. This DDS part provides TWO outputs - I (In-phase) and Q (Quadrature - 90 degrees
shifted from the I) which allows many interesting modulation/demodulation possibilities.

I had to Google IYDKWTI and I do know what it is !. ;-)
