Hi,
As I would like to take advantage of the recent increase in the 40m allocation here in the UK, I wonder if anyone has made any sense of the diode table (D8 - D12) on the TS-850S digital board schematic. This as far as I can see determines the destination region and thus the rig's operating band limits. I know that it is possible to change the existing arrangement to give general coverage to the transmitter but would rather not do that. Initially I did a hex dump of the ROM but found it too big a task to decode without experience with the particular processor code - a uPD78C10. 73 de Joe, G3LLV |

GB,
Thanks for that address and the 78C10 info. Have emailed them over the modification and await results. If I don't get anywhere, I'll extend the diode array out to a proto-board and play around until the sweet-spot shows itself. What I'm looking for really is the North American setting as they have had the extended 40M allocation from the start. Cheers - Joe, G3LLV |
