Replacement for Motorola FM Dual Conversion IC's

I have seen posts on this subject but no definitive answer. Outside limited
supply, the MC 3362 and derivatives are gone. If one wanted to start a new
design for a dual conversion, narrow band FM VHF receiver (for example a 72
MHz R/C) the options are now limited.

The solutions I have seen mentioned a

- SA602 + SA615 drawback: 2 IC's instead of one. BTW, are they still
mainsteam IC's ?
- Some Japanese IC manufacturers may have some equivalent IC's Drawback:
limited documentation and availability

I am forgetting something ?

Note: I don't consider the option of using the limited, often expensive,
supply of Motorola / ON IC's to be a good one
