I am trying to resurrect a TS-830S. I received it sans any filters. These are the stock 455 filters. I need to get a filter in there to see if it still works. I really did not want to sink a bunch of cash in a Collins or Inrad filter and then find out the radio is not worth fixing. Rick KC0HH Rick - The Yaesu FT-817 and Icom IC-703 use the MuRata CFJ455K ceramic filter. So a Collins mechanical or Inrad upgrade like shown at W4RT would qualify http://www.w4rt.com/obf/OBF_IC-703_Manual.pdf w9gb Unless it is an ugly duckling .. TS-830 repair should be straight forward I think most of the Murata filters are either 1.5K or 2K input and output In the second RX of the Yaesu FT-1000(D) and the FT-1000MP you will find a Murata 455 kHz ceramic filter. This will be the Murata CFJ455K '15', '13' or '5' filter. http://www.remeeus.nl/english/hamrad...xfiltering.htm gb |
