Software tool for XTAL checks: xtalfind 2.0
Hi,
I am glad to inform you that I have updated my 'xtalfind' program to include tests for software defined DC receivers and DRM converters. xtalfind is a Perl script that, given a (list of) XTAL frequency, returns all its possible uses for HAM applications, (sub)harmonics included. Currently xtalfind checks for the following matches: * DC RX or TX (HAM bands) * RX with 455kHz IF (HAM bands) * RX with 10MHz IF (HAM bands) * RX with 12kHz IF (HAM bands) * RX with custom IF (HAM bands) * SDR LO=4*F (HAM bands) * DRM converter 455-12kHz * DRM converter 9011-12kHz (ICOMs) * DRM DC RX for known DRM broadcasts You can see a sample output from a previous release at http://spazioinwind.libero.it/ik1zyw/hardware/myxtals You can download the software from http://spazioinwind.libero.it/ik1zyw...ind-2.0.tar.gz The Perl interpreter is available for most operating systems, so xtalfind should run almost anywhere. Don't throw a XTAL before asking xtalfind! :-) Never underestimate the power of weird frequency XTALs! ;-) 73, Paolo IK1ZYW |
