Need to build 100 mW UHF power amp

Why not feed your signal into an MATV (Master Antenna TV) amplifier and
route coaxes to the rooms where you want to hook up a TV? You wouldn't
need 100 mW to do that....of course, you would have to run coax
throughout the building and in old construction, it could be a pain...

2.4 GHz is the problem.

That frequency is too congested at this location.

I need to move the signal OUT of the 2.4 GHz band.

http://www.jameco.com/ sells video transmitters for 2.4 GHz. If you
have composite video available, it would be easier and legal to go this
route.

I want to be able to send a UHF TV signal (400-800 MHz) from one end of

the

house to the other. I have a UHF digital PLL modulator with an output

level

of 7dBmV minimum, and would like to use it to feed a small linear 100 mW
"power" amp to a 1/4 wave whip.

I don't think I'll find such a critter very easily, (if at all) so I

would

like some suggestions as to how I might find resources to build one. (Of
course, a pre-designed schematic and PCB layout would be ideal!)

Anyone have any suggestions as to where to start? (Besides Google...

try the RF 2360 from RF microdevices.
it looks scary but with a little bit of patience you can hand make a
small PCB for it. except for thr input and the output oins, all others
are grounded. if you make you PCB out of a 31mils thick board, all you
have to do is scribble a pair of 50 mils wide line and a few
noncritical pads to anchor the power decoupling componnets. it's
specifically designed for CATV use, good from 5 to 1500 MHz.
