HBR receiver
 

Hi guys. I just lucked out and got this nice old HBR receiver. I haven't
received it yet but was woundering if any of you recognize it? I checked
Kees site and didn't see any that may resemble it. It lookes very well built
from the pics. Check it out:

The Eddystone dial and the coils used -- appear to confirm its a HBR-16

The ARRL's QST magazine presented in several construction articles in the
late 1950s until the late 1960s (and in The Radio Handbook, 17th Edition)
for the HBR receiver (e.g. HBR-14, HBR-16, HBR-8, HBR-11, HBR-12, and
HBR-13C ).

You really did luck out. HBR-16'sw have been going for $300+ If the seller had
known what he had, and advertised it correctly, he would have gotten twice as much.
