[RAC-Bulletin] RAC Bulletin #16 - Report of the election committee - SEPTEMBER 2007
 

On Friday, 7 September 2007 the RAC election committee met in Orillia
ON. Susan Cooke, RAC Secretary, acted as chair of the meeting. The
members of the committee we

- Mrs Susan Cooke, VE3SUH, chair
- Mr Doug Campbell, VA3DC
- Mr Charles Doubrough, VA3SD
- Mr Peter Schuyffel, VE3JPP

Following a call for nominations in the Juyy/August issue of TCA the
committee reviewed the nominations received for the position of Director
in each of the following regions:

Quebec
Ontario South
Alberta/NWT/Nunavut

Results were as follows:

Quebec Regional Director

Only one nomination was received from the Quebec region. Based on the
documents submitted and the RAC constitutional requirements, this
nomination was found to be correct and complete. Since there were no
other candidates, Mr Noel Marcil, VE2BR, has been acclaimed to this post
for a term of 2007 and 2008.

Ontario South Director

Only one nomination was received from the Ontario South region. Based
on the documents submitted and the RAC constitutional requirements, this
nomination was found to be correct and complete. Since there were no
other candidates, Mr Geoff Smith, VA3GS, has been acclaimed to this post
for a term of 2007 and 2008.


Alberta/NWT/Nunavut Director

Having received no nominations for this position, the committee
recommends that the board of directors proceed to make a seond call for
nominations in accordance with the constitution, Article 6 i).
