NTIA: No objection to additional Data Modes on 60 meters

In response to requests for clarification from the ARRL, the National
Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has confirmed that
it has no objection to the use of a broader range of data emissions by
amateurs on the five 5 MHz frequencies on 60 meters

Ottawa relaxes rules for personal antennas

A compromise between the city and amateur radio enthusiasts means they’ll
get a bit more freedom to put up private antennas on their houses and in
their yards, Ottawa city council agreed Wednesday

Student CubeSats BEESAT-2 and BEESAT-3

expected to launch in the 4th quarter of 2012 from Baikonour into a 575km
circular 65 degree orbit
