Amateur Radio Operators to Converge In Claremore on March 13-14:

CLAREMORE -- Green Country Hamfest, an annual gathering of amateur radio
operators, will be held in March in Claremore. The event will be held 4
p.m.-9 p.m. March 13 and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. March 14 at the Claremore Expo
Center, 400 Veterans Parkway. The annual Green Country Hamfest will again
be a ARRL sponsored Hamfest (ARRL - The national association for Amateur
Radio). This is the largest gathering of amateur radio operators and radio
sport enthusiasts in Oklahoma. Visitors will be attending from all over
Oklahoma and the surrounding states. The Claremore Expo Center in the heart
of Will Rogers country is an ideal location for this convention with free
parking, ample space for the many displays, vendors/dealers, and education
forums. The Green Country Hamfest is open to all radio hobbyists,
interested members of the public and their families. This is a great
opportunity for amateur radio operators and interested parties to learn
more about this exciting hobby and valuable asset to our communities'
amateur radio is during disasters and emergencies.
