Updating special event information on QRZ

I have run a special event station multiple times now this year, K3K, but
since the other user of K3K beat me to the listing here on QRZ, it always
shows incorrect information for the special event station when I run it.
Why does QRZ allow anyone to register information when no one really owns
the call sign?
