Who was the First Radio Ham

In the very early days of wireless at the end of the 1800s, no licenses
were required for transmitting and anyone could set up some transmitting
apparatus and send messages.

Around this time various amateur experimenters used the new medium of
wire-less technology, but it is not totally clear who was actually the
first radio ham, or who had the first ham radio station.
