W8Z Special Event Station celebrating 100-yr anniversary of the 1916
Washington's Birthday relay

On February 21 and 22, 2016 the Hamilton Amateur Radio Club ("HAMARC") will
be operating special event station W8Z to commemorate the 100-year
anniversary of the February 22, 1916 Washington Birthday amateur radio
message relay across the United States... the first of its kind.



Articles about the 1916 Washingtons Birthday amateur radio relay were
published in the May 1916 Electrical Experimeter magazine and in the April
1916 QST magazine.
