ARISS countdown to 1000th contact



The ARISS contact between Powys Secondary Schools,

Mid Wales, UK, and astronaut Timothy Peake KG5BVI on Saturday represented
the 997th successful ARISS contact in ARISS history. ARISS is poised to
celebrate its 1000th contact as early as this week.



Below is the list of currently scheduled events for ARISS. Each one will
have to be successful for the numbering to be correct. As of right now, the
March 10 contact...

If youre interested in radio "boat anchors", military history, or aviation
technology, be aware that "Fifi" of the Commemorative Air Force, the last
surviving and flying WWII B-29 bomber, is touring the USA again.



Last week while driving with the sunroof open I heard the magnificent roar
of those four radial engines overhead as she was on final approach to SRQ
airport. The next day I did a walk around and walk through (see youTube
link below) It was the best ten bucks I have spent in...

The second school contact is scheduled at 16:11:05 UTC with visitors at the
Atlanta Science Festival, Atlanta, Georgia - USA





The event is in telebridge via ground station K6DUE and the signals from
Space will be audible over U.S.A. on 145.800 MHz narrowband FM.
