Quick clarification on contesting.

First, Ive never tuned into a contest before, and I have to say 20m and 15m
is full! Its rather exciting!



So, Im glad I listened a while first, as to my surprise that after a Call
then the obligatory 5/9 hihi and maybe location I hear an ascending number
from the station. 1454 1455 1456 etc. After 20 seconds of googling, its the
serial number and it seems its as easy a just starting with the first
station you contact? 1, 2, 3 etc.



So my clarification is this, I really dont care too...

What contest am I missing on 3/25/2016

I got a new software receiver system this evening. As I got it operating,
I found that 75/40 meters, and some on 20, are saturated with contesters.



Ive did a good bit of "Googling" but havent seen any contests listed for
this weekend.



Is the latency in my new software radio system so slow that Im hearing
previous contests, or am I missing something I didnt know was going on?



If so, I guess it is to late to get involved!



It is making me feel like an 8-year old group doing...
