For all the operators in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and the
panhandle of West Virginia, the Butler (PA) County Amateur Radio
Association will be holding a 2 Meter simplex contest on Saturday April 23,
2016 from 1800-2200 EDT (2200-0200 UTC).







The contest is only 4 hours long and on 4 specific simplex frequencies from
the ARRL Band Plan. For this contest, we will use only these 4 frequencies
with a convenient 15 kHz separation.

Butts County amateur radio group WX4BCA will be on the air from 10:00am to
about 3:00pm from the Blue Bird, Blue Grass Festival at the Dauset Trails
Nature Center in Butts County, Jackson Georgia.



Look for us on 15m 20m and 40m depending on conditions. We will hang out
around 21.316, 14.316 and 7.216.

IOTA DXpedition IA5J 2016 by ARI Verona DX Team.

Will be on air from Giglio Island (IOTA EU-028) 21 to 25 april 2016 with
the special call IA5J.

Activity on all HF bands (except 160m) all modes and on 6m band also via
Meteor Scatter and EME.

Giglio Island and its lighthouse are valid for IOTA – ARLHS – IIA – WLOTA
and WAIS awards.

We’ll operate full time with 2 stations on HF bands and with 1 station full

and VHF tomorrow, April 18 to celebrate and remember the Doolittle Raid of
April 18, 1942 when seventeen B-25 US Army Bombers launched from the flight
