Bendigo Cyclists Near Target in Ride for Cancer Research Funds:

Teched-up Bendigo cyclists are zeroing in on their goal of riding 2000km
for cancer research during October. Six local cyclists teamed up to raise
money to help children fight cancer during the Great Cycle Challenge, a
fundraiser for the Children's Medical Research Institute. The institute
develops treatments and searches for a cure for childhood cancer. The local
riders are part of the Pedal Radio Group, an offshoot of the Bendigo
Amateur Radio and Electronics Club. The group regularly hits the roads and
trails using bikes equipped with antennas and other communication equipment.
