Wings of Freedom Special Event Station W7AI, April 8, 2017

The Oro Valley Amateur Radio Club (OVARC) will operate a special event
station to commemorate WWII veterans. The station will be held in
conjunction with the Wings of Freedom Tour at the Marana (AZ) Northwest
Regional Airport. Historic aircraft present will include B-24, B-25 and
B-17 bombers as well as a TF-51 Mustang. Various WWII vehicles and field
equipment will also be on display.

Last year the SJRA celebrated our 100th Anniversary, during this we created
our QSO party, it lasted 10 days and it was a blast. During this time our
club members signed /100 at the end of their call signs. It was successful
and we got to talk about our club.





This year we decided to run it again only for 48 hours, but not just to
celebrate the SJRA age, we are...
