I’ve been software smoothing, i.e. sorting out the wrinkles in a spotting
programme. I did chase a Vietnamese station for 2 hours but he didn’t work
any UK stations that I could see. Most popular A82X and Z (Liberia), TT8SN
(Chad), and 5T5PA (Mauritania) again. But there was plenty more DX about

Australian Authority looks to end HF for maritime distress communications

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) recommended that
jurisdictions cease high-frequency (HF) radio monitoring of distress and
safety communications in Australia. The authority is seeking comment on the
proposal by 29 November
