Lincoln Shortwave Club - Bringing Amateur Radio to the Community


On Monday 17th May Steve M5ZZZ, Andy M0IYE and Stephen M5SJM operated
GB5DAM a SES memorial station from the Club to remember all those who lost
their lives during operation Chastise. Chastise was the code name for the
now famous 617 SDQ raid on the Rurh Valley dams. We are not only
remembering the brave RAF Aircrew Crew who died but also the German
civilians and hundreds of forced labour from all over Europe. Unfortunately
a mixture of equipment failure and poor conditions on the bands stopped us
making as many contacts as we would have liked. For further information
