Don't accept can't.
From the period of 1973 to 2010, I had horrible luck with
HF antennas. I dropped a major chunk of change on an Icom IC-761 in 1989. As good as it is, without a decent antenna it is next to worthless. By all rights, I should have given up and gotten rid of all my radios. I'm stubborn. I moved to Texas in 2009, in 2010 I had the time to put up an antenna that works. For the first time I heard HF as it should be. Crowded, chaotic, hectic. I'm having fun. On a related note, back in 1970, I had pretty well had any desire to draw beaten out of me by my parents and teachers. Last week I decided, "I'm going to draw." The bottom line? Don't let ANYONE tell you what you can't do. -- Jeff-1.0 wa6fwi http://www.foxsmercantile.com |
