There is very little spam in here and contrary to delusional people, there are few off topic posts here. I think anyone attempting to moderate this group would do it for purely control freak issues and personal problems. It would probably kill the group and the usual crowd probably won't like it and they would start up an unmoderated newsgroup for ba.broadcasting.
