Maybe he'll make it, maybe he won't.

BTW, how far is it to the moon?

AFAIK, he hasn't even tried.

BTW, how far is it to the moon?

About 250,000 miles. It varies a bit because the moon's orbit
is elliptical, not a perfect circle.

If you want more precise numbers, look them up in Wikipedia.

I've known all that since grade school.

Why do you ask? Don't you know?

You've made reference to someone on rrap making a mistake
on the earth-to-moon distance, but have not said who it was.
Perhaps you were referring to yourself, and wanted to
know for sure.

The answer is: about 250,000 miles

The dusty box remains unopened. No attempt has yet been made to open
it. The empty boast has yet to be fulfilled.

Maybe he'll make it? Perhaps "right out of the box." (punctuation
enclosed in parenthesis per your fetish) means something different to
you than to the rest of the population. The passage of seven years
means that he didn't make it at all.

BTW, how far is it to the moon?

Just out of reach for Leonard H. Anderson.

Prickish Heil, proper English syntax is no more a fetish than your
insistence on pointing out typographical and spelling errors. Best of
Luck.

I have an ARX2B like that. When it does get opened, it will be as if
new. And rest assured, I can open it at any time.

Great. Did you boast that you were going to open it seven years ago?

When it does get opened, it will be as if
new.

Maybe it will be; maybe it won't be. You won't know for certain until
you open it.

And rest assured, I can open it at any time.

Len is in his eighth decade of life. There are limits on his ability to
open the box containing his Extra Class license. He hasn't even paid
for it with CASH yet.

Why no, Dave. I boasted that I was going to purchase it seven years
ago.

When it does get opened, it will be as if
new.

Why wouldn't it be perfect? It's never been opened, and the box is
intact.

Is the World's Greatest DXer suggesting that Cushcraft products are
defective or have poor quality control?

And rest assured, I can open it at any time.

Then he would be perfect as a new ham. He could even apply through the
Vanity Call System and get an old-timey callsign so people would think
he was an old hand at this amateur stuff...

Perhaps Handi-Hams could lend a box-cutter.

He hasn't even paid
for it with CASH yet.

Extra licenses for sale? Would that be through the ARRL VEC or the
W5YI VEC?
