An odd thing happened on the way to the supermarket....

....so I was assisting my youngest son with research on a 'waning moon'
project for school...

Thus, I searched the term 'waning moon' on Google.

And one of the links (result #11) that appeared in Google was:

a.. www.geocities.com/gaypagans

For a moment, I thought that I had stumbled upon Mark Morgan's Secret
HomePage.

However, as it turned out, when I saw the proper spelling and grammar
contained in the little site summary under the link, I immediately concluded
that it could not be Mark's secret home page. There were no spelling or
grammatical errors.

Hopefully you also used the search term: waxing.

Best of Luck.

No, although the technical term was either "waning crescent" moon or "waning
gibbous" (part of the assignment was to define the difference between the
two), I thought the term "waning moon" would be a catch-all.

Turns out I caught more than I intended.

Well, Mark brags about his EME communication ability. Perhaps this is the
type of Earth Moon communication he refers to. He uses a rubber duckie
antenna! ;-)

A strong xmitter and a rubber ducky in front of a corner reflector
(parabolic reflector formed out of "chicken wire"--even better) and moon
bounce would most likely be a given.

A walkie talkie with you standing in front of a reflector would be
chancy ... :-(

Very Robesinesque... commenting on the length of my crank.
