No, they want people to see and hear exactly what BPL means. There can be a
future for HF amateur radio so long as some people go and prove that some technologies are incompatible with HF communications. I certainly hope that large business doesn't get their way too often or one of these days folks will discover just how vulnerable the large infrastructure for telephones and the internet are.
