Switzerland, the UK, Belgium, Germany and Norway have now abolished the
code test, and the Netherlands will follow shortly on September 1st. New

When will the US get rid of the code test?

We are lagging behind.

Lagging behind what?

Don't take it for granted that the code test willl be
eliminated.

Why?

We don't have the metric system, which is clearly advantageous.

Which has what to do with Morse Code?

Five world nations.

ARRL still refuses to side with the IARU on code testing...even after
S25.5 was rewritten and the international "reqirement" for code testing
got tossed in the dumpster.

The metric system of weights and measures has been legal since
1866 in the United States. By Congressional legislation.

That's 22 years after the first commercial Morse-Vail telegraph system
went into service.

That's 19 years before Marconi first tried wireless radio in Switzerland
and 20 years before the first actual radio communications was
demonstrated and recorded in Italy and Russia.

The ARRL has not "refused" anything, Lennie.

Please cite the ARRL policy stating such. A LACK of such cite
will be accepted as yet another baseless LennieRant.
