Well, since CB never required a test, I'd have to say that your
question makes no sense to me. If you are referring to MURS, FRS, and
GMRS, they aren't in the ham bands. Are you proposing testing and
incusion of those frquencies into the ham bands?
As near as I can figure out, it's got to be something like that. You
do know that hams can use those frequencies too if they get the
licenses that may be required. Don't worry, they don't require you to
take a test or anything.
I use MURS to keep in touch with my non-ham daughter. My phone at
home stays constantly busy and she isn't interested in taking the
test. I guess that she too is condemned to no-code/non-ham hell. She
seems pretty content with her fate though. She really want's a cell
phone, which is also near a ham frequency, but I got her a horse
intstead.
