Boise BPL testing

If you're not a ham I suggest you find some local ham operators and alert
them to the threat if they aren't already aware of it -and many will not be
if they haven't been very active lately.
I'm sure the local ham radio community will be interested, if not other low
band VHF users.

Go to this URL........ http://www.qrz.com/i/names.html

Type in boise idaho ands you'll get a list of local hams and a club. If they
don't already know about BPL I'm sure they'll be interested.

Sept 22 BPL scheduled for testing start in the Eagle Rd. @ McMillian
area (or Eagle/Fairview not sure). This is not too far from my location.
It would be nice to get some metrology on this before and after. What
type of instrumentation is typically used? All I have is shortwave
scanner which is pretty useless.

Record before and after noise on received signals. Make a log of it.
Exact 'S-meter' readings are not necessary.

You will see a major degredation of received signals.
