Mike:

Not only that, but it might take us quite a while to even get around to
a discussion of code testing, if we ever did!

Anyone interested in an rrap get-together during Dayton '04? I don't get
to bid on my vacation time until the end of the year, but it could very
well be "doable" for me, since starting next week, I'll finally have the
weekends off on a permanent basis.

I am liking the idea of a rrap meet at Dayton. If it isn't as muddy as
this past year, we could tailgate!

I bid for Yuengling Lager, Genny Red, or if we can get a designated
driver, Unibroue Maudite! And Ribs and Chicken, or cow on the cob.

Mike:

Considering the infamous vagaries in the WX at Dayton that time of
year, I think an indoor venue would be best. A restaurant with a good-
sized banquet room would probably be best, since then everyone
could eat and drink whatever they wanted. Is anyone familiar enough
with the facilities available in the Dayton area to make any suggestions?

I would love to, but as long as I am with my current employer, Dayton is
pretty much out for me, as explained in a different posting to Larry here.

Nothing like good ole grill cookin' !

A definite pro-coder tried to connect the Holocaust of WW2 to morse
code testing...with himself as the "outraged victim of oppression."

Did I say he was suspect of illegal drug abuse? I take that back.

I say he now exhibits symptoms of severe mental imbalance.

Yet another attempt to bring some civility to the NG and Lennie
tries to set a match to it.

Why am I not surprised...?!?!

Funny how that works, Steve! Are you going to try to make it to Dayton?

Here we have a bunch of people with different opinions that in spite of
those opinions look at getting together for a enjoyable weekend that
sounds like a blast. And in the middle of this, somone decides to whizz
on our Wheaties.

Could it be that this would be a threat to the way he wants the group?

Kim, beer and BBQ?

Oh good heavens, no! Pasta, or steak, and a glass of fine wine or a frozen
margarita.

Cheeseburger in paradise, anyone?

Beer and BBQ is a Texan thing and, while I'll drink an ICE COLD
beer on a hot day outside--you won't find me outside much in the Summertime
around here. BBQ? It's OK.

Wings and a Sam Adams. Or a Black & Tan.

Hot roast beef sandwiches and a Genny Cream Ale or Guinness (drink your beer
before it gets cold)

Or the amateur radio ultimate: Anchovy pizza a la Grommethead Schulz.

or if anyone is close to NW OH, or will be, I can make up a batch of
my award winning chili, drink some cold beer, and play radio.

Anchor Bar. Tonawanda NY.

Dinosaur BBQ, Rochester NY (also Syracuse).

Just thinking of them makes me drool.

Chili? Now we're talking about truly sacred subjects.

I'll bring the Dave's Insanity Sauce.

Insanity Sauce? Hopefully it won't take the skin off my tongue.

I make beer and keg it, I also make wine and bottle it. I may have to
make it all portable.

I'm really looking forward to this gathering.
