light bulbs in rrap

Some may have seen this one before, but I think it's funny and to the point.

How many rrap members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the
light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

10 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs

5 to flame the spell checkers

3 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6
to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light
bulb" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take
this discussion to a lightbulb forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light
bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to
buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for
this technique and what brands are faulty

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URL's

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to
this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all
headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot
handle the light bulb controversy

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions
about light bulbs"

18 who trip over each other in their rush to say "repost!"

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and
start it all over again."

88 federally licensed lightbulb changers stating that one MUST have
proper legal licensing in order to change light bulbs.

73 long-time lightbulb change licensees to DEMAND that all take a
bulb change test in order to fulfill the traditions of amateur lightbulb
changing.

13 unlicensed lightbulb changers stating that civilians change light
bulbs all the time and don't need licenses to do so.

69 incensed licensed lightbulb changers calling the unlicensed
"LB-plussers" or "change lite."

52 licensed changers denouncing the new organization called
"NCI" or No-Change International.

1 with Masters papers in sea-changing contemporaneously
developing a proposal for new federal laws on light bulb chaning.

1 who always wears a uniform of some sort with many insigina
demands instant obediance to strict lightbulb change rules.

1 who never changed a light bulb in his life but has many degrees
to show he can and who will immediately misdirect conversation
into something not about lightbulb changing.

1 who has 26 patents on lightbulb changing and once changed a
light bulb for naval intelligence.

1 female who adamantly demands that all show their references for
any opinion on changing lightbulbs.

1 other female who never needs lightbulbs due to the glow of her
inner self giving all illumination necessary...except that hardly
anyone can see what she is glowing about.

1 paraillumination logistics maintenance NCO who extolls the ONLY
way to change light bulbs is to do as he did and become one with the
divinity for accomplishment of rapid changing.

1 officious former government employee who states that unlicensed
light bulb changers have no business commenting on amateur light
bulb changing. Ever. They are never involved.

6 adolescent-minded to state offensive remarks about "screwing in
light bulbs."

107 other parental surrogates to remind the 9 adolescent-minded to
behave, become licensed light bulb changers, or be grounded.

963 incensed, angry parental surrogates denouncing one another in
a spin-off thread stating that others are "virgin changers,"
unfaithful, incapable of changing, would not know which
direction to take in screwing, in or out, and never changed in their
lives.

8 official statements from the northeast American Bulb Change
League (ABCL) stating that they are the only organization
representing amateur light bulb changers...and demanding BPL
(Bulbchange Power for Light) be abolished due to bulb noise.

Mike,

Is that an incandescent light bulb, or a flourescent light bulb? :)

Len,

Before you discuss light bulbs, can you show me your electrician's license?

Don't be too generous with your praise, Mike. Len's never actually
changed a lightbulb or owned a lightbulb but he has several friends who
are lightbulb changers and fifty years ago, he worked in the sunlight.
These things are enough to make him an expert in lighting technology and
to lecture all licensed lightbulb changers.

And another dozen to assert that an LED isn't a *real*
lightbulb because it never needs changing.
