Default BARF

All the entertaining eccentrics have been run off
the air by over-zealous rules worshippers,
leaving behind only plain vanilla,
bland and boring:

"blah blah blah the rig,
blah blah blah the weather,
blah blah blah I got DXCC for the umpteenth time,
blah blah blah my arthritis."

Inanities abound from band edge to band edge.
Oh, for the rough-n-tumble of 75 meters in 1972.
Hams did lots of public service,
actually handled real traffic instead of phonys to each other,
knew code at 20 WPM+,
NEVER said "10-4" on 2 meters
and still managed to be hilariously
entertaining from time to time.
I contend that a few goofs
on 75 and 20 did no harm whatsoever,
except to the tilted sensiblities
of obsessive/compulsives.
The HF phone bands today are little more
than a cure for insomnia.
