Check for other cities such as San Franciso and San Jose. Also check the
W5YI website as they may have testing there instead of the ARRL. Also do a
web search for

city name amateur radio

for your city and nearby cities. Then see if you can find clubs. Someone
in the clubs will usually be up to date on what is available in your area.

Remember there are a total of 12 VECs in the US and so the ARRL or W5YI may
or may not have a presence in your location.

Thanks Dee -- SF and San Jose too far away. W5YI doesn't show anything near
by.

I e-mailed four different Eureka Ham clubs a week ago -- no answer
This is common -- many clubs don't read their e-mail for weeks.

Now e-mailing Hams in Eureka (from QRZ) direct -- waiting

Google didn't help.

Thanks for the reply

See if you can find phone numbers for those local hams you have emailed and
simply call them.
