She couldn't be worse than what we have. If Hillary is the Democratic
nominee, I'll vote for her rather than more of the same from the
Repooblicans.

Yep, drill for more oil. The Republican answer is that there is always
more. We are in a bad way and few realize it. Believe it; we are at the
mercy of the Middle East oil producers (which is why Bush is now pursuing
Iran and Syria rather than North Korea).

Canada was smart. They wanted nothing to do with the missile defense
system. They know that Bush wants someone else to pay for it LOL.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the deficit continues to grow. This is *not*
a conservative agenda.
Conservatives would have had a fit a long time ago with the deficits. This
is an attempt to completely dismantle all social programs, including VA care
(yep, you guys serving in Iraq are going to discover all about the new rules
that get worse every year). Thanks, Repooblicans, for supporting our
troops - *not*. BTW, I am working with a guy who served in Desert Storm
(remember that one?). He has a 10% service connected disability and can get
no VA care. As the only game in town is contract, he has no health care at
all.

In all honesty, I do hope I'm wrong about where we are headed, but I doubt

Liberals are anyone who disagrees wit' ya. The AARP was a fine
organization when it was helping to get the GOP prescription plan
passed. Now that the AARP does not support the proposed changes to
Social Security, they are left leaning, partial abortion supporting,
socialistic, Leeburals!

Simple, eh?

Must have like Bill as President. You will have em again.

mercy of the Middle East oil producers (which is why Bush is now pursuing

Ok, lets stop drilling for more oil, and you can be the first to stop
using gasoline..

Canada was smart. They wanted nothing to do with the missile defense
system. They know that Bush wants someone else to pay for it LOL.

Canadians are idiots. They don't even have a standing Army, they deploy
what they have for troops in rental cars and trucks. And EXPECT the USA to
cover their asses. LOL right back at you.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the deficit continues to grow. This is
*not*

Golly gee batman.....tell me how to slow the growth of the debt when we are
fighting a flippin WAR? Moron.

Conservatives would have had a fit a long time ago with the deficits.

Oh BS. Bush has approved and continued more so called welfare programs
than ANY other Republican President. If anything he tends to be too LIBERAL
on social programs.

(yep, you guys serving in Iraq are going to discover all about the new
rules
that get worse every year). Thanks, Repooblicans, for supporting our
troops - *not*.

What SPECIFICALLY are you refering to? You mean how the VA Budget was
increased over the last fiscal year? And how the VA ITSELF raised everyones
pay and ATE the increases all up?

What now brown cow?

BTW, I am working with a guy who served in Desert Storm
(remember that one?). He has a 10% service connected disability and can
get
no VA care.

Of course not. Ten percent is sore butt stuff, pain in next stuff. Maybe
a flinch in the cheek stuff. Go talk to someone that has a 100 percent
combat disability and see if he gets care. No sweat GI, walk in and you go
to the head of the line. Perhaps if your friend actually had a problem he
could get treated. Ten percent....what a flippin joke.

The VA has to make priorities. There is NO WAY they can treat them all,
especially those NOT COMBAT related. But me boy....anyone with a real need
and proper credentials can and does get VA care.

As the only game in town is contract, he has no health care at
all.

Move.

The AARP is a SELF ADMITED liberal organization.

Of which I am a member. A non supportive member at this point on the
subject they support. But I believe one needs to be INSIDE to affect any
sort of change.

Which is why I still maintain my ARRL membership.

Yeah, so I've heard Dan. But the point I am trying to get out is that it
was just fine for them to help with the Prescription plan, but once they
disagreed, the attack dogs came out. No loyalty, no sense of working
together because something is right. Just blind adherence to the party
line. And heaven help you if you disagree.

If the social sec issue is a good one, it should stand or fall on its
own merits, not whether or not our membership in the AARP is somehow a
litmus test that we support gay marriage!!

I'll be perfectly happy if she keeps her head in her own! She
stuck her head into health care's collective butts when she was
Billary's "Health Care Czar" and all she did was cause trouble and
further bog down the already stagnant bureaucracy.

Hillary Rodham Clinton in politics is like having Michael Jackson
